A decent early generation Blu-ray player
The player pre-dates the Federal anti-piracy mandate that eliminated component (red/blue/green) and composite interlaced video outputs. It is valuable in that context for use with older TVs that lack HDMI. Image quality is good with both Blu-ray and upscaled standard DVDs. It will also upsample standard redbook CDs to 96khz/24 bit. Although slow to load, it will also play the new Blu-ray audio only format at the native 96khz/24bit rate. Like everything about the product. Excellent video. Fast to start. Since this was a refurbished unit I am hoping it continues to please. I knocked it down a star because when I got it it rattled like something was broken. I had to open the unit up to discover two pieces of broken metal about the size of a nickel and quarter were inside. Very good pre-Cinavia DVD player

Panasonic DMP-BD65
I owned the BD 60 and it was decent but very slow loading. The 65 is much faster loading basically the same inequality and has been very reliable. Some of the newer Blu-ray players are Way too expensive, and don't have the same connection features I like.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
