You can take high-quality pictures efficiently and easily with the Sony Mirrorless NEX-6 16.1 MP digital camera. Capture stunning images with less noise thanks to the HD APS-C CMOS Sensor. This sensor offers a full frame for wide viewing angles that capture every detail. This black, compact camera features a 16-50mm lens with an aperture of F/3.5-5.6. You can take brilliantly lit pictures and videos with just the press of a button. Preview and review photos on the wide, 3-inch TFT display before making a final choice. Line up shots for fewer errors with a 25-point autofocus feature. When utilizing autofocus, there are several modes available, including single-servo, focus lock, and continuous modes. Manual focus is also available for the NEX-6 if you’d like to control this setting yourself. A memory card slot allows you to take as many photos as you wish without fear of storage problems. This slot is compatible with many brands of memory cards. Weighing less than 1 pound, these Sony NEX cameras are easy to carry around wherever you go. High portability is useful during lengthy shooting sessions and sightseeing. The built-in flash that can be found in this NEX model comes with five unique mode types. These include auto, off, fill-in, slow sync, and second-curtain sync. For continuous shooting, you can set this Sony camera to capture up to three frames per second. This can be useful for taking short time-lapse captures or photographing fast-moving action. When you wish to connect this NEX-6 camera to your computer or to another device, HDMI-C and micro USB ports are available. This makes picture transferal easy and fast. This Sony Alpha DSLR makes use of a lithium-ion NP-FW50 battery that's rechargeable. Between charges, you should be able to take 350 pictures using the LCD screen and around 150 using the electronic viewfinder. The OSS lens on this camera includes ED glass and nine aspherical zoom lens elements. This provides fantastic performance while reducing effects like chromatic aberration. When taking pictures or video with the Sony Alpha NEX-6 mirrorless camera, built-in image stabilization ensures that the image quality never suffers. You’ll get clear photos and video even when your hands are moving. This Sony camera accepts all E-mount lenses. If you wish to capture video with this system, there are myriad modes for you to explore. Both 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratios are supported. You can also record audio in stereo to accompany your videos. You can choose between image resolutions of 640 x 480P at 30FPS, 1440 x 1080P at 30FPS, or 1920 x 1080P at 60FPS or 24FPS. Any pictures you take with the viewfinder can be saved in JPEG or RAW formats. Videos you shoot can be saved with the MPEG-4 or MPEG-4 AVCHD formats. This camera kit also has a maximum zoom of .215x, allowing you to hone in on your subject accurately. The NEX-6 has an ISO range that goes from 100 to 3,200, so you can change the ISO setting for any lighting situation with your photography.

    Great beginner or intermediate camera!

    Takes great pictures! I love how there are interchangeable lenses and it is relatively compact, not pocketable though, for a camera of this calibre. There is a bit of a learning curve but it's pretty easy to use. The EVF is FANTASTIC! Just a joy to use. Cannot recommend this camera enough as a beginner camera as an amateur myself.
