    Good for the home garage

    I am not a professional mechanic and do not run a shop. I own 1 motorcycle with a chain and did not want to spend $100+ on a chain breaker tool kit. This kit works good for doing a chain job every 3 years for me. It is easier to use and has less pieces than other chain kits. It is designed to replicate the high dollar kits. My only complaint is the riveting part of the kit should have a more conical shape to it. I split the studs a little when riveting them. I dont know if that happened because I overriveted them or because the riveter wasnt conical enough. Served my needs and would buy again.

    Broke almost out of the box.

    I am a simple man, with simple needs. With this fast approaching riding season. I thought it was a smart move to slap a new chain and sprocket kit on my beloved motorcycle. I bought a quality kit from Vortex. I proceeded to take the old chain off. The chain breaker broke, but thought what the hell I will just cut the chain off. That's when I whipped out the old trusty rotary tool. Tore the chain off faster then a young man's first time. I continued with my quest to save a few extra green backs. I swapped the rear fear and slid my new links on. Grabbed the terrible tool, I shoved the master link on with the device. Thought it was going good. I went to mushroom the little pin on the master link. The pin ended up squishing a tiny circle in the rivit head. Save your money. Buy the motion pro ...

    better than expected

    This tool works very well. Took some time to figure out exactly how to use (no instructions included). Lubricate tool before using, grind rivets before pressing and it will do the job easily and should last a long time. Not a Snap On shop grade tool, more like a good Craftsman grade tool for the price of a Harbor-Freight tool.

    Decent for the price.

    The bit you use to flatten out the pin after installing the chain is a one time use affair. The rest of the tool works great.

    Worked well

    Bought this to remove old chain on my zx6r so I could swap out my front/rear sprockets. Ground down the old rivet and this pushed it out with ease. Put the new link on with ease as well. Only used once so far but no damage at all so I would say its a safe bet that it'll last.
