However, some perusing of chainsaw owners manual and other Stihl publications gives one an idea of uses, primary one being setting the height of the depth guides on the chain. Also handy for cleaning out gunk on the bar. Could be used for measuring tooth length too but calipers would be more accurate. Cutout angle guides on top not really very useful.
