As a hint, I made an inner circle from a semi-solid but flexible foam to insert in the bowl when I only have a small quantity of herb to grind. This keeps the product lower in the bowl and reduces the time to finely grind the herb, since the product does not fly around so much. I insert the foam circle in the top of the bowl and push it down with the lid before closing the lid. I use a pastry brush to remove the ground product from the bowl. Love this grinder.
