This item works but it turns out it is not an official part. It does not meet the standards that Maxim/Dallas Semiconductor established for the DS18B20. It is a clone part and the description should say as much.

I was contacted and offered a refund on the probes. These probes work for my specific application but because they are not genuine Maxim DS18B20's people may have difficulty and not understand why. I would update my review and rating but apparently there is no way to actually do that and after this followup I have no way to update, change or remove the review or followup. That eBay policy is TOTALLY unfair to the seller who has in this case gone out of their way to make me happy!
