    BLADE IS TOO THIN

    My manual for my B&D trimmer/edger states the replacement blade is EB-024. The blade I received from EBAY does not fit my trimmer. It is about 1 millimeter thinner that the original and the retaining nut will not "grab" onto the blade as the nut hits the non-threaded shoulder of the motor shaft before it grabs the blade. . I had to fabricate a washer to take up the slack so the nut would hit and retain the blade. Either the B&D manual is wrong, or the the supplier shipped me a counterfeit blade. YOU DECIDE WHICH.

    Not sure if this is OEM

    Edger blade is advertised as genuine OEM but arbor hole measures .51 dia., OEM specifies .45 dia. and that is what I measure on my original blade. Larger hole will allow the blade to shift off center and cause excessive vibration possibly damaging the motor. Used on B&D LE500.

    Silly Me...

    I expected the blade to have arrived sharpened. It wasn't. It is a good quality blade though. I do recommend it but with the caveat that it will come to you with edges as dull as a melon.
