About this product

Product Information

Sorbo, star of TV's "Hercules - The Legendary Journeys," assays the title role in this wry silver-screen adaptation of pulp king Robert E. Howard's tale of a sword-swinging warrior cleaning up corruption in the mythical kingdom of Valusia. His mission wins him enemies among the nobles, who plot his death and entrap him in a marriage to a vicious 3,000-year-sorceress. Kull begins a life-or-death quest to capture the Breath of Valka and bring peace and justice to Valusia--and capture the heart of a beautiful slave girl.

This movie is true to the Kull series written in the 50s and 60s. Much like Conan the Barbarian, it has a lot of slash/bash and partially nude bodies, but the plot is very simple. The action moves it along at a good pace, so it keeps you entertained. Not a subtle movie, all parts are overacted - as required to keep true to the books - but you never really get a feel for the characters, even the main ones. I enjoyed it, but probably won't watch it very often.
