Daily life of a Confederate soldier
This soldier of the 17th Virginia gives details of the everyday life of average troops other books do not. This book is the result of Hunter's diary that he kept throughout the Civil War. He writes of tragedy as well as of humorous events. It puts you in the shoes of this man who made it to the end of the war.
