I bought this book as I wanted to give losing weight one last shot after having tried so many different things. Some of my friends had tried it and had so much success. I found that Dr Dukan speaks in a language that people who love food in general understand. He speaks about so many different things in this book that people who have had a weight problem for their whole life can relate to. Over 8 weeks I have lost 11.5kg. I couldn't be happier. There is no calorie counting, now weighing portions, just a food list to stick within. There are many websites also dedicated to the Dukan Diet where you can get some really fantastic recipes as well as substitute ideas for things on the allowed food list that are difficult to get in Australia. In the end, weightloss will always come down to your own dedication level - and with this diet - if you've got alot of weight to lose - dedication is definately needed. However as you get initial fast amazing results, it gives you added motivation to keep it up. Also amazing for curing anyone of sugar addiction!! I have recommended this diet to anyone wanting to lost weight, without having to think too much. And for someone who is as busy as I am, that's important. Easy to understand and follow. First week I tried it I lost 3 kg but unfortunately for me it was the week before Xmas. Am going to recommence it in a weeks time. This book explains everthing in easy to understand terminology. The recipies provided are easy to make and quite tasty. All in all this book has provided me with the information to loose my unwanted kilo's and keep it off, the rest is up to me!! Happy reading folks!
Well worth the read, my husband and I are both on this diet and I can honestly say its easy! As long as you stick to Dr Dukan's list of things to eat, you can eat when you want and as much as you want. First we found it strange that you can loose weight and eat as much as this, but its all true. Really cheap book as well, its not a fad, its the real deal! Highly recommended.
