CD reissue. They were unique in the folk/country music world. The McGarrigle sisters were an iconic folk duo whose harmonies were second to none. Their harmony singing is delicate and beautiful and their songs, some in French are filled with yearning and sometimes bitter sweet sadness. The McGarrigle sisters' music almost unbearably poignant. The backing band on this debut album include Lowell George, Bobby Keys, Steve Gadd and Tony Levin as well as family and friends such as Loudon Wainwright III. The album was voted Rock Album Of The Year by Melody Maker.
