About this product

Product Information

Charlie Fortune is a hard-working lawyer for one of the city's most ruthless firms. Charlie's determined to make partner or die in the attempt. Sadly, Charlie's troubled by the one defect no self-respecting lawyer should have - a conscience. He feels guilty about hiking up his billable hours. He's also a sucker for the sob stories he hears helping out at his local legal advice centre pro bono! All in all the partners at his firm are beginning to suspect that Charlie lacks the killer instinct it takes. They have no such doubts about new recruit Elly Gray. She's ruthless, talented and determined. She's also Charlie's ex-girlfriend. And a woman he'd sooner not see again, let alone share an office with

Based on the seller's description, I'm disappointed. Despite being advertised as clean and without stains, the used book I received has multiple stains throughout and feels sticky to the touch. Even after cleaning, it remains dirty, which is unpleasant. Additionally, the cover has clearly been creased at some point. Overall, it's acceptable, but it doesn't match the description, making it feel overpriced.
