Reviews
[in a letter to the authors] ". . . I would just like to say the subtle humor found occasionally in the book is awesome. It's like I've found a little nugget of gold. Thank you and your colleagues for a textbook that succeeds in keeping me awake while reading it--quite an accomplishment for a history textbook.", I think THE AMERICAN PAGEANT is easy to read and comprehend. The vocabulary is at an appropriate level, the material, for the most part, is presented in a nicely flowing narrative, and it is lucid., [What I like best about THE AMERICAN PAGEANT is the] rich, flowing narrative in every chapter that will draw the student to the material . . . and, mysteriously to them, enlighten, educate, entertain and painlessly expose them to all the themes, issues, trends and personalities in U.S. history. Most textbooks are so huge, detailed with a maze of tables, charts, graphs that overwhelm if not frighten students. . . . Kennedy is the best written, brief or otherwise text I've seen/read, and I've read/studied most of the Top 20 college US history textbooks. . . . , 1. New World Beginnings 33,000 B.C.E.-1769 C.E.2. The American People Face a New Century., I like the connection between a historical event and how it affects the future. i.e., it mentions early seeds of civil rights movement to later more militant movement., . . . What I loved most about this book when I read it 20 years ago . . . were the political cartoons. These are fantastic because they really show the reader something tangible to latch on to in an amusing or thought provoking way. . . . The text is written in a straightforward way that students can understand.

I purchased these adorable pink cloud wrist rests for my new gaming set up! They came in as advertised and was a bundle of a mouse pad and two wrist rests! The only issue is that one of the smaller clouds did not come in. The packaging protected the wrist rests and mouse pad and it was shipped a day or two after purchase. While I am still a bit bummed about how one of the pieces was not included in the package, it was worth the price for the set :)!
