These are going on to my spare parts rack - I’m happy with my office chair but I’m a big guy, spend a lot of time leaning back in full recline and the gas lift units wear out quite quickly. I simply replace them as they die. Maybe some are better quality than others, I haven’t worked that out yet so in the meanwhile I’ll just install a new lift every 3 months or so.
