Bought this to use while traveling, as it is made to be used with an existing toilet seat, plus this item is also made for a heavier person. It has worked well, is stable, and the included clamps worked just fine. I weigh over 300 pounds, and it provides good support. I have been able to use it with both regular and elongated bowls, again keeping in mind this unit sits in front of the raised existing toilet seat. Not recommended for bariatric patients! Will not hold the weight, specially the front holder. But it is suitable for normal weight people who can seat and not let themselves fall into the seat!
