About this product

Product Information

Because of his envy of Frogger's achievements and the attention he receives, Swampy the Crocodile hatches a devious scheme to invade his pond and kidnap Lillie Frog's brothers and sisters. What a vile crocodile! Assuming the role of the vengeful frog, you must thwart the evil crocodile and save the innocent tadpoles from harm.

Divided into various interactive 3D worlds, Frogger's mission spans over 30 levels crammed with life threatening obstacles and monstrous cronies blocking the path to victory. Fortunately, the frog has been endowed with supreme powers including regular hops and super-hops, the ability to float over water and land, a Power Croak for calling missing tadpoles and a bug-seeking tongue.

Additionally, power-ups are strewn about including secret coins, extra lives, quick hops and auto hops. In multiplayer sessions, players utilize slow hops that significantly decrease hopping speeds.

Worlds include haunted mansions, forest-based temples, complex caves and futuristic towers, all of which feature enemies and obstacles specific to the levels. Along the way, you run into spikes of doom, axe-wielding guards, shocking lightning traps, spiders and creepy caterpillars.

Frogger 2: Swampy's Revenge features various options including story, arcade and multiplayer modes. Arcade mode builds on the story mode described previously by requiring you to traverse levels completed in the former mode while collecting gold coins to unlock Super-Retro levels. These excursions feature over-the-head 2D graphics, much like the original Frogger.

Supporting up to four players, multiplayer mode includes a plethora of mini-games including Cornered, Boxed In, Toad Road and Trail Blazer. Depending on how well you've done in story mode, hidden characters may or may not be selectable in the multiplayer mode.

Released by Hasbro Interactive, Frogger 2: Swampy's Revenge also features gameplay options including difficulty settings, demos, sounds, credits and reset functions. Can you thwart Swampy the Crocodile and save Lillie Frog's friends and family? Hop to the challenge and find out!

  • Not the Frogger I grew up with

This is quite different than the Frogger I grew up with. It's pretty fun with the new scenes and the multi player mode. Especially when you can play up to 4 at a time. The games in multi-player mode take some getting used to cause another players frog can end up on yours and you can lose your place pretty easily.

  • Frogger 2: Swampy's Revenge (Dreamcast)

I have been looking for this title for quite some time and found it only on eBay. For those Sega Dreamcast enthusiasts, or even all Sega lovers, this game is very good. Loads quick, graphics are good for this game type, and is lots of fun. Not recommended for thoe who are solely into RPG, or those into High Definition graphics. Great for 40'ish fathers with teenage kids.

  • Pretty good.

I liked the game a lot, although the 1st one in my opinion was more fun then the 2nd. I did play the game when I was younger though so I'm sure thats why I liked it more. But overall it was a fun game especially for kids. It could of been a little longer though. Anyways I decided to buy it because I loved the 1st and had recently purchased a dreamcast and just had to have the 2nd adventure.

  • Frogger 2

Frogger 2 is a great game. It is really fun as a multiplayer. The only down thing about it is it's simple story line but still a good game.
