Bought for a Browning Maxus turkey gun. Did not use the picatinny mount (bought the speedbead mount separate, which I unfortunately had to modify to get to work). Really like the sight. Good feel on the adjustments and the auto brightness works really well. Only thing I didn’t care for was the battery cap repeatedly tried to cross thread. Partially I think due to my large fingers not able to get to it well to help stabilize it, but it’s just in an awkward spot. Taking the hood off would have probably helped. Once I got that tightened up, it did well. Held zero shooting 3” Turkey load

Battery installation method / design is terrible. Very easy to damage threads because the mount and screw on battery cover are both constructed of aluminum. Burris would be well advised to install the first battery at the factory. Suggested battery life indicates it will last for years, therefore when replacement was required, the product would be several years old and damaging the threads might be a little more acceptable. It really needs to be re-designed. For example if the battery cover was constructed of plastic, it would still offer great protection plus the softer plastic cap would be sacrificial in that it would be damaged before the body of the mount. Replacement caps could be made available. If I can return the product I will.......

Brand new but doesn't work. Followed all the instructions. Tried 3 different new batteries but NO DOT. Burris has a lifetime warranty, but I still have to box it up and send a Brand New sight back to the factory and wait till they get around to fixing it or sending me another one. Pretty disappointed. Made in the Philippines not in the USA.

Like the title says. Not overly impressed. First off the picatinny adapter is not reversible. I don't like the fact the large side nut is right in the way of the ejection port. Plus it should not be that large/obtrusive and sticking out of an otherwise svelte optic. I replaced an older red dot and compared the 2 and the older one is made much better and beefier. I love Burris products, but their designers skimped on some simple aspects of the sight and mounting aspects. These things are not real hard to think about guys. To me, it's just cutting corners and taking the easy route while cheapening up the product. To those that say the large nut sticking out of the side of the mount is not large, need to reevaluate and not mislead potential purchasers of this product. Now, for sighting in and using, this red dot works as advertised. I like the smaller 3 moa dot and the brightness settings. Easy to use side button. How it actually holds up is yet to be determined, but I'm hopeful it's going to last as long as the older red dot its replacing. Also, this is not designed to be used on a weaver style mount, just to warn you. The adaptor plate rocks on the weaver style mount because the side screw that goes in the slot is round and not square on the bottom. You will either have to modify your weaver mount or the side screw that is used to clamp the adaptor to your base. Not a huge deal, but may be a concern for the guy that does not have a proper file or other means to deepen the slot. Use a picatinny mount and you will be fine. However, if your pistol is set up with a weaver style mount, you will need to make preparations for this..Read full review

Great upgrade from my red dot scope on my turkey gun. It has a low profile look and feel and the lifetime warranty is fantastic! The one complaint I have is that the battery compartment is very delicate and requires careful effort and glasses for me to get it closed. I would not want to attempt changing the battery in the woods or in poor light conditions.
