  • Drawing the Female Nude by Giovanni Civardi (1995)

I purchased this book to aid in the sculpting of several female forms. This book uses photos of two girls that the artist makes useful drawings of. The girls are not particularly well toned and in fact are under toned. The drawings are helpful however and quite many different angles of anatomy are examined. Unfortunately, the book has a pornographic side, and some views seem only appropriate in a pornographic magazine. I would not recommend for school or children. The drawings are fairly well done, considering the physical lack on the part of the subjects. Eric

  • Very well illustrated.

Great details and very good for charcoal.

  • art of the whole person

straight forward. artist have been drawing faces and bodies since the first cave man scratched pictures on his walls. learning to draw at home i needed an artist to show me how. thats what this man is able to do for me. i got this book because it shows me how to draw a whole person. gibran said clothes hide much of our beauty but none of our ugliness.
