  • Artistic brilliance

I have a love affair going with the art of Neal Adams. His name alone is enough to tempt me into the purchase of any book--which is true of this purchase, in fact, as I knew little about the Avengers beforehand. The work of the Buscema brothers is represented in this compilation as well (the art of John being much better than that of Sal), but the work of Adams shines as always as a lone star in the comics firmament. Adams' rendition of the journey by Hank Pym as Antman into the labyrinth of the Vision's interior is a tour-de-force and then some. If you appreciate great graphic art, this is a must-buy.
