It works very well and does all the features it says. The only problem I've had is a learning curve figuring out how to work the different features. This is definitely a product manual you need to read first.

I wanted this outdated unit for several reasons. 1. It can broadcast all Serous/XM content to an FM channel , boom box on beach, sterio at friends house, etc. 2 both car and home dock stations makes it more useful. 3.Old fashion push button pre set chanel selection, easy to use in car. (I'll never understand touch screens in a car) easily feel buttons without taking eyes off the road. Form factor not small for this line of products, but small enough and easier to use if not tiny, both home and car. Note, this unit is pre- XM/Serous murger, not sure but this may affect amount of channels, although a boiler room rep in the Philippines told me I do get all channels as they now mirror broadcast over both platforms.

I have had three of these receivers and they are outstanding. Not only do they have 30 presets and a separate direct select page, they include a remote which is especially handy in the car. It is mobile, easy to use and has many other functions related to the stock market and sports. I have not explored them because I use the radio function almost exclusively. I've seen other, newer products, but none compare with this little guy. Love it!!
I decided that if I was going to spend money every month, for a service I've received for free all my life, then the receiver had better be mobile. This little unit lives up to that! With the exterior antenna, signal is quite clear. When outside the internal works fairly well if stationary. The FM tuner works very well. I'm looking to buy a second one as a backup.
short and sweet, this is a great xm receiver. it was a little larger than i expected, requiring me to revamp my installations in my car, work truck, and home. but it was well worth it. sound quality is great whether using the headphones, line out, or fm transmitter. all in all, i highly recommended this unit. i don't know what it cost new but if you can find this unit, buy it. you won't be disappointed.
