    All good on the DVD side, however I had to pay an extra $15.00 for a new box as the sent one was completely smashed due to poor packaging.     Classic traditionalist production.

    One of the very few traditionalist productions of the Ring Cycle available on DVD. No 'Regietheater', Eurotrash nonsense here. It has its flaws like any other production of the Ring simply because the Ring Cycle is so notoriously hard to stage, but a real effort was made here to make everything look as beautiful and as impressive as was possible at the time while making it a Ring production that Wagner himself would recognize as his. If you haven't seen the Ring Cycle before I strongly recommend this as the first production you should see.
