With 14 years, four live albums, and one studio release now under it's belt, the band continues to use it's twin lead guitar attack to mix classic and contemporary blues styles in performances across the country. Mahajibee regularly receives airplay on HD radio, local and regional blues stations, and blues radio in Europe, Canada, and Australia. 9 From the Road: New Boots, Vol.1 provides the first document of Mahajibee's most recent lineup, comprised of Patrick "Big Head" Tevis (Vocals, Harmonica, & Keys), Brent "Junior" McConnell (Drums), "Big" Tim Ambrass (Bass), Tim Vitullo (Vocals & Guitar), and Earl "The Chief" Schwalm (Vocals & Guitar). Assembled late in 2012, the lineup has had the distinct pleasure of opening for acts such as B.B. King, Devon Allman, JJ Grey & Mofro, Mississippi Heat, and the Kilborn Alley Blues Band. 9 From the Road shows the group's love of traditional and contemporary blues compositions and the ability to consistently explore fresh sonic territory in their extended improvisations. Original selections featured on 9 From the Road are taken from Mahajibee's eponymous 2007 LP. The new lineup brings a fresh interpretation to those 'Jibee live set stalwarts. Those that have enjoyed the band over their 14 year tenure will be surprised to hear how these compositions have developed since their initial release. These recordings are prime examples of Mahajibee's love of "freeing the jam." The interplay heard between the twin guitar attack, harmonica, and keyboard make for a unique take on the modern blues lexicon.
