Quality P-70 by AMT / ERTL
Building & having a very rare war-bird was my reason for buying this model. Very nice kit w/ good details, but no pilot or radar-operator/gunner. Everything fit very well on this one. I wish I was a better painter. I tried a new type of clear coat, but it came out all blotchy. That along with my poor attempt at weathering the exhaust stains made for a sad finished bird. But as I said, the kit itself was very nice. The engines had very nice detail for a 1/48 scale plane. I tried to show a close-up of them. The decals were still good but remained a bit stiff even after a 1 minute soak, & I accidentally broke the squadron insignia badge on the nose, & therefor changed it to a different one. So be patient when applying them. The wingspan is about 15-1/4" & length was around 12-3/8" I really ... Building & having a very rare war-bird was my reason for buying this model.
