Farberware FCP412 coffee maker
I have had a Farberware 12c for over 20 years (made in the Bronx, NY!) and wouldn't be without one. So, when my church was looking for a replacement of a Mr. Coffee, I suggested this one. I already knew the quality was there, but we've gotten so used to those other types and the Farberware was looked down on for being too slow and "old fashioned". I reassured them that it's a minute a cup, just like the Mr. Coffee pots and others like them. However, it's so easy to clean, relatively no parts to go missing or break, and costs the same, thanks to a great price on Ebay. Permission was granted and we've had the pot now for about a month. This coffee maker brews the best cup of coffee you ever tasted.
Over the past 25 years I have used drip coffee makers; some with auto start, others with the brew strength of the coffee, one even had a built in coffee grinder! No matter what coffee maker I used, the coffee tasted like 'dishwater', and it was never hot, really hot. Yes, I tried using different brands of coffee, too, but nothing changed. I was totally fed up. The week this coffee pot was purchased from EBay, I had remembered a percolater I had back in the late 1960's. It was a Farberware product, and I recalled that the coffee perked super fast. Considering 40+ years had gone by, maybe they didn't make them anymore. If EBay didn't have one, than I was certainly out of luck. After signing on to EBay, and typing my query into the search block, I sat back and ... I would buy it again, would recommend it to a friend, and would give it as a gift. There is no comparison to make, this is a wonderful coffee maker like no other. Well, folks, have to go now, coffee is ready and it smells great!
