    This book is extremely detailed, great to have if you're a graduate student, or are in an undergraduate senior level course. The book follows a logical order: Measurement Basics, Atomic Spectroscopy, Molecular Spectroscopy, Electroanalytical Chemistry, Separation Methods, Miscellaneous Methods (Thermal, Radiochemical), and its appendices cover evaluation of analytical data, activity coefficients, electrode potentials, compounds for preparing standard solutions, and acronyms in chemical instrumentation. Often, the explanations given for simple concepts are too complex, which can confuse the inexperienced chemist. Overall, a very useful addition to a chemists' library.

  • Good book, easy to read and follow

    Bought the book for my Instrumental Analysis class. I think it is a good book with a decent layout and plenty of pictures and graphs. Some of the problems also have answers in the back of the book which is nice so that you don't have to buy a solutions manual to tell if you have the gist of the problem or not.

  • This book explains many methods in analytical chemistry

    This is a textbook that was required for my instrumental analysis class. There are 33 chapters of text explaining the instruments and calculations involved in instrumental analysis. There are review questions at the end of every chapter and answers to some of them in the end of the book. This book is easy to understand and useful for anyone with a need to understand the logic behind the instruments and numbers.
