    great record with LAME 5.1 mix

    I LOVE this record. however i bought THIS VERSION because of the 5.1 surround mix and it is almost non existent. I hear vertually nothing coming out of the rear speakers and MOST everything else coming out of the from L & R and mainly the center. Even the bass seems to be coming out of those speakers and not the subwoofer.

    A Timeless Classic - One of the Most Important Recordings of All Time

    Everyone should own a copy of this classic recording. Many have multiple versions. If you have a SACD player, buy a copy of the 1997 SACD - the clarity and definition is amazing, especially considering the original masters were recorded in 1959. As fresh today as it was 57 years ago. This SACD brings out the nuances and spatial placement of each instrument with the dynamic headroom that Super Audio delivers best - a truly amazing issue.

    time stand still

    what can i say about this cd that has not already been said,this is a monumental achievement,and without a shadow of a doubt,unaquivicabely the greatest jazz album ever made.and the first shot at different time signatures,from blue rondo,to take five,this recording has no equal.
