Better than what I thought.. Though I was expecting the foot to sit further out, so it is about right and fits my hand well.... It really is not feasible to rotate the camera anf lens on this collar as it sits on the very back of the lens and will slip off towards the camera body...... ...so it could really use a rotation ring in it ....... .. There are 3 holes on the foot where you would expect the one... And the silver one is evidently for a QD clip type used more with gun slings.

It's works ok - but only problem is the 1/4" screw always falls out when the plate is not attached to any device. There needs to be a rubber stopper/gromet inserted in plate to stop this happening. A simple solution.
