A Good Children's Book
This was a book from the Parent's Read Aloud Series back in the late '70s, early '80s. My children loved all of these books. I liked this one in particular. The lion in the jungle is hot, so he tries to find a cool place and leaves the jungle. He falls asleep where it is cooler and wakes up covered in snow. He goes back to the jungle and tells his friends, but they think he's crazy. He goes back again and brings the snow back in his bag, only to find it melted. He then decides to take his friends with them and they have fun playing in the snow. To show their appreciation they make a sculpture of lion, hence the SNOW LION. This is a great book that my kindergartener and 3rd grader love to read. They had checked it out at the library and liked it so well I decided to get them their own copy.
