    Heavy duty, outdoor ready

    Good product for converting 120V pool lighting system to 12V. My 120V pool light stopped working and the problem was traced to a bad enclosure. Rather than replace it with another 120V system, I opted for a 12V light to save energy and make use of the higher performance 12V LED pool lights. To do this, a transformer was needed to step the voltage down to 12V. The Intermatic transformer is a good choice for transforming 120V house power to the 12VAC needed by the new LED pool lights. Lots of safety features and designed to be mounted outdoors, near the pool light wiring system.

    No timer

    I didn't realize this product while a transformer of high to low voltage has no time and can only be used with a central command automated pool center like a pentair system control. I just wanted a transformer to power landscape lights, everything more and this won't do it.

    Works perfect as expected

    Only concern is its loud hum when on. If you're 20-30 feet away, it won't bother you but when up close to it, it sounds like something is wrong. Also makes a loud knocking sound when changing colors using Pentair Intellicolor LED.
