    Item arrived promptly and was a direct replacement for the worn grip ring on my CLD-v820. Before installation, my player would squeak and struggle to play discs. Now, it appears to play flawlessly in initial testing. The item came with fairly detailed instructions, although example pictures would have been nice. Still, hard to complain considering it fixed my machine. Positive transaction, would buy again if I ever find another player to fix.

    Easy installation on my dvl 909, but unfortunately it put the dvd playback out of alignment, I guess the thickness made the difference big enough. Anyway, seems to play fine with LD which was the main need of course. Will probably order another later in case I want to try reapply the grip ring.

    Item is new or like new and though I don't need to replace the current grip ring on the CLD-79 this is a piece that failed before on this 20 plus year old player. Nice to have a back up for when the current ring fails. Quickly shipped and well packaged the instructions included are clear and concise and should help anyone in replacing a critical component necessary for laser disc playback. It was a pleasure chatting and I will look to you in the future for repair parts when needed. Thanks
