The Evercade is one cool system, a true retro gamer’s paradise! This system plays licensed retro games from the 70s thru the 2000s as well as several modern indie games, depending on which cartridges you have. The screen is large, bright and clear. The sound gets moderately loud and stays clear even at top volume. System has a nice weight to it, not too heavy but also not too light like cheaper systems. The console is well-made and has very responsive controls, and it feels good in one’s hands. Built in Li-ion battery provides for several hours of entertainment on a single charge. The deluxe set comes with three cartridges chock-full of games by Atari, Interplay and Data East. (Clay Fighter still rocks!) Out the door you get 36 retro console and arcade games included in the starter set, pretty impressive considering the low price point. Many more multi carts are available too, most of which sell new for $20. There’s also an analogue headphone output and mini-HDMI port to connect to a modern TV, which is a very nice feature. The one downside is there is no multiplayer functionality. Blaze says there’s going to be a Model 2 eventually that will support multiplayer, but in the meantime it’s 1-player only. Highly recommended for retro game fans! Emulation is smooth and responsive, don’t notice any lag, frame rate drop or any other issue! Great system!Read full review
