This is exactly what I needed to kick my running into higher gear! Fantastic device for workout use, which is why I bought it. And it's also great as a standard music & podcast player. I use the radio too but it seems to use the battery faster. But the tuner is better than the one on my previous cheapo mp3 player. Here are some tips I learned for using the 6th gen Nano as a workout device. To track miles run most accurately, clip it to your waist or somewhere else on your trunk. I wore it in a watchband for some workouts and noticed a drop in distance accuracy. Also, set the Nano so that when you double-click the "wake" button, it will pause your workout. This is really handy for stoplights, drink breaks, etc. Then you don't have to mess with the touch screen with sweaty fingers as much (which can be difficult - it doesn't work as well when my fingers are sweaty. And I am still wondering how it will work when I'm wearing gloves in the winter). I'm not sure I would choose this model if I just wanted a really good music player. The screen is so tiny that it's difficult to navigate through the music to find what you want. My husband has an Ipod Touch which has basically taken over the function of a laptop in his life, and he loves it for music too. I haven't loaded photos on it, and don't see why I would want to, with such a tiny screen. But again, the tiny screen is a huge plus for my purposes (running) - because this device is so incredibly lightweight and non-intrusive. 8GB is plenty of room for me, since I have my music stored on my laptop and just create a playlist to sync to my Nano, which I change up from time to time. Right now I have over 1,000 songs in that playlist, which only takes up 5.24 GB. I also sync maybe 8 or 10 podcasts, which totals less than 1G. So, I definitely wouldn't want to try to store all my music on an 8GB Nano, but for portability of some music for workout purposes, it's plenty of space. I should add that I've only used two other mp3 players in my life. One was a Samsung Yepp in the '90s (so I think it had like 64MB capacity), and the other was an "IQ Sound" that my husband bought a few years ago for $30 and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. So I can't compare the Nano to other high-quality mp3 players. I didn't even really research other brands because after switching to a MacBook last year, I'm really happy with Apple products. But, among the Ipods, I feel confident I chose the right model for my situation.Read full review
Good quality product, good features, easy to use. the good thing about this ipod is it does not have useless features, you can listen to your music or radio stations and see some pictures. its also very light weight what is very nice when praticing some running.
Great Ipod. Fast. Light Weight. Very easy to use and very girly with bright Paris Hilton Pink. Battery life is excellent and sleek and easy to use design makes this an item you will carry with you whereever you go during day or night. Perfect for posting pictures and fun to use touch screen and scramble mode. Best Ipod out there for the size and cost. Thank you Steve Jobs!
The 6th Generation iPod Nano is, in my opinion, the best iPod Nano because of its compact design and the built-in clip. I use it for running and love the music, radio, and running apps. I looked at the newer iPod Nano, but was disappointed that it is larger and lacks the built-in clip. Yes, you may purchase a case with a clip for the newer Nano, but the reviews are bad, most state the clip breaks off. I'm very happy with my 6th Generation iPod Nano; it suits my lifestyle perfectly!

So glad I bought this Ipod, it's small which is definitely what I was looking for something you can grab and go that doesn't feel bulky, the clip design is great for working out, and the touch screen is handy and easy to use, one thing DO NOT DROP these suckers, I'm pretty sure everyone drops their Ipod at some point but the metal dents and goes out of shape ALL to easily, so take extra care of this little guy.
Excellent service. Received only a few days after order. Getting instructions off iTunes but not east to download songs. Did process virus check and drive. Before using the device. Thank you so much. My last one went missing months ago. So this was a great find.

I bought this becuase I got sick of armband radios that got crappy reception. love that that this has am/fm built into it and it get great reception.I love the touch screen and acessories to protect it are cheap. What I don' like is the sleep mode on it and you have to push the power button to change a song. The genious playlist doesn't work so hot. Everytime I try to add a song to genious it says it isn't able to add that song. Also don't bother trying to download a digital book for it unless it is bought from ITUNES. I tried and I haven't had any luck. it says you can I haven't had any luck yet when I download from the local library media.Battery power goes down a bit on the fast. After an hour of use the battery is only 3/4 charged still. Overall though it is a great product that just needs a bit of tweeking.Read full review
These are great for walking, beach, etc. You can get them to match your outfits 😅. But now that I have my earbuds, I have to admit I don’t use as much. Nice back up on vacation when phone battery is low.

I purchased this for my mother on mothers day. Compared to the other iPods this new nano is more gimmicky then the others. All that aside.. *** A great beginners iPod. The iPod nano 6th generation is the most user friendly mp3 on the market. It is very easy to use. ****PROS***: compact design, touch screen, built in clip. EASY TO USE. ***CONS***: screen rotation needs work. does not play videos. DOES NOT HAVE CAMERA OR SPEAKER!!!! I'd recommend this to someone who is new to iPods.
