The Wii U is an underrated console. I've always wanted one, but wait for a good deal on pre-owned/refurb. Unfortunately, it wasn't very popular and the games are limited due to lack of interest, but the games are available are pretty good. The Zelda remakes look great and the Super Mario games are always hours of entertainment. Granted...a lot of the games are ports, but are fun to replay non-the less. Also a big plus is that they are easily soft modded and I can back up my disc games to a portable hard drive and not worry about popping in a disk every single time. There are also home-brew apps to play classic NES/SNES/N64/Game Cube games. I can pretty much replay my entire Nintendo Franchise on the Wii U. My only issue is that the range of the Game Pad isn't what i though it would be. No issues using the game pad in the same room, but when you walk out of the same room you loose connection. I would have been nice to be able to keep the console down in the basement and walk upstairs and solely use the Gamepad without being in line of sight to the console. That's where the Nintendo Switch is so successful...you can pick up the switch on the go and play anywhere you want. Overall, its nice to be able to go back and play all the Zelda games on both a TV screen and Gamepad screen.Read full review

I bought the Wii U because I missed playing Zelda games.. I've been an Xbox and Playstation user for many years now. My last Nintendo console was a Nintendo 64. I purchased the Wii U because I can play all the new titles and the old Wii games on it as well. Overall I have been very pleased with my purchase but there are a few drawbacks... Pros: classic Nintendo titles (Mario Brothers, Legend of Zelda, etc.), downloadable games (new and old), can play solely on the game pad if tv is unavailable, no paying for Internet access, connects to Wii-mote, cheaper than Xbox One and PS4, game pad has: video chat, stylus for doodling, and tilt sensors..games are innovative and addictive. Cons: the graphics are good.. But not great like its counterparts, not many games available yet, game pad battery needs recharging often, downloads and updated take a long time, can't play or download Dreamcast games or any portable system games.. Yet Overall I love my Wii U.. I'm glad I didn't listen to the kid at the game store. The Wii U has had a lot of bad press (partly from Nintendo's terrible marketing) but I hope that they put out many more games soon and make more downloads availableRead full review
This faceplate is awesome. It looks very good, is not cheaply made, and is most likely an authentic nintendo product. The caveat here is that this required the most serious surgery I've had to perform on a video game device. It requires completely dismantling the guts of the gamepad, including disconnecting ribbon cables, etc. I would strongly recommend checking out a youtube screen replacement video to see what you are getting into prior to purchase. However, should you succeed, you will be extremely satisfied with the end result.

Shipped with care wrap and paper. The gamepad has little to no ware or scratches to it. All the detail of the art is still on the pad. Everything works so far. Couldn’t be happier with this purchase.

The ultimate Wii U bundle for Zelda fans! The deluxe version of the Wii U worth its money, as you get 4 times the capacity and a few extras, like the charging cradle, the normal cradle, the Wii sensor bar. It is great! The bundle includes the game and Hyrule Historia in digital downloads. It also has a custom Wii U gamepad which is pretty. The game itself is a great remake of the classic WindWaker with HD graphics and a few tweaks in some of the quests. Hyrule Historia is a must for anyone interested in the lore of the game. It is an expensive bundle, but it is a collectible that is rare
