I have fine wavy hair and wasn't sure if this would just blow by hair all over the place. It did NOT! So pleasantly surprised. The quality is great. I had to remove the inner ring to fit my hair dryer and have had no problems with it staying put! The airflow is distributed perfectly. With my other diffuser which came with my dryer, I could feel the heat right away. This one, I can hold in place for a longer time,which sets my wave or curl better, and it has a deeper bowl which fits a lot more hair! It is LARGE, but don't be hesitant to purchase. Best diffuser as far as size and depth also allowing air flow through the prongs really speeds up the slow process of proper curl care. Anyways my hair is just above my shoulders and growing which is good for this diffuser but if you have shorter hairstyles it may not scrunch them due to the depth of the orchid. Anyways I love it and it's near perfect. It didnt really fit my hair dryer but I bought the black orchid diffuser snozzle from amaxon and it solved that problem! I have long hair. This diffuser does a great job holding and scrunching all my hair. It makes my curls form nicely with less frizz! It holds a lot! I don’t like shopping on Amazon because I’ve had issues with them stealing small amounts out of my account that I’ve had to have refunded. I’m so glad this was on EBay instead. Shorter dry time with an Xtava Black Orchid Diffuser
The Xtava Black Orchid Diffuser attachment arrived as described in the listing. The fit with my Revlon dryer was secure also. The Xtava performed as I had hoped it would and defintely is an asset for me with curl/wave retention by it's great design! Using the Xtava Black Orchid diffuser actually decreased my drying time in half! The airflow is gentle yet all encompassing over curls from it's larger size/shape of the diffuser bowl's design. The original packaging is also a bonus. It's perfect to store it in between wash days. Excellent diffuser once you find its match...
I really like this diffuser and would've given it five stars except it's quite difficult to find a hair dryer it's compatible with. Xtava doesn't even sell one it fits anymore. I ended up with the InfinitiPro by Conair Travel size dryer, which is perfect because it has a short nozzle that makes the size of this diffuser less awkward. Best diffuser out there for long curly hair!
This is truly the best diffuser I've ever used. The large size, deep bowl, and long spines make it especially well suited for long and/or thick curly hair. It has many vents that provide lots of airflow to dry quickly down to the roots without creating a lick of frizz! I am super happy with the quality and performance of this product. The difference it makes in my hair is incredible. For those of you looking for a hair dryer that fits this diffuser, it fits perfectly on the Jilbere Porcelain series (see attached photos).
