    Kendrick Lamar- The Only "New" MC I Like

    K-Dot's "DAMN" is pretty dope. While it doesn't quite measure up to "Section 80", my favorite Kendrick joint, or "Good Kid Maad City" it is definitely unique & sonically different. His heavy lyrical content combined with catchy & soulful beats make for an album that grows on you more & more with each listen. Thankfully, the guest list is short, which puts K-Dot & his many flows front n center. 1 thing that's fairly annoying on "DAMN" is the frequent nails-on-chalkboard-ish outbursts of the 1 & only Kid Capri. He's a legendary Hip-Hop DJ but, well; DAMN. At this rate, Kendrick Lamar will go down as one of the greatest MCs the West Coast has ever produced, right alongside NWA, Snoop, Rass Kass, Pac, Xzibit, Game, Ice T, etc... So yeah; BUY THIS ALBUM!
