      Sweden's Top Gun Fighter- Rare Book!

      For being a significant fourth-generation fighter, there really aren't a whole lot of books written on the Saab JAS-39. So I was lucky enough to score this little rarity on Ebay. And for a very reasonable price (I've seen other copies selling for significantly higher prices). It's a Gripen factbook published in-house by Saab, in association with the Swedish Air Force and corporate partners. It's the 6th edition, as well as the first English edition, from October 2002. Size-wise, it's noticeably small, at 5 1/4" x 8 1/4". Or just slightly longer than your standard DVD box. But at 165 pages, it's packed with a good bit of information and excellent photos of the Gripen, as of late 2002. I get the impression Saab published this as a promotional item. But I'm absolutely fine with that and ...
