    Fluke 80k-6 6000V Works as Advertised! (I've never been disappointed with a Flue product.)

    Works as it is designed to work. In short, it is a voltage divider with some very useful safety features. (It works with both ac, DC, etc.) Opened it. Connected it to my Fluke digital volt meter and measured the output of an electric fence charger. Got erratic readings, which caused concerns. Later connected it to my oscilloscope. Discovered the output of my electric fence charger is a 25 µsec wide 6000V pulse once per second. (The probe works correctly if used correctly.)

    Fluke 80K 6k High Voltage probe

    Last time I measured high voltage was with the FIRST HEATH-KIT VOM.. Produced back in 1956 and would measure up to 5,000 voltDC. WITH the Flute 174 vom and the Fluke High Voltage Probe, makes measuring High Voltage a lot more safer than using the FIRST HEATH KIT FROM THE 1956 ERA!!!! Mike Combs-K4LMS- Ham Operator

    Great high voltage probe

    This is the perfect accessory if you need to measure high voltages above 750 volts up to 6 kV. It is very accurate if used with a high impedance (10 megohms) meter.
