  • They USED to make 'em better in the past! ;)

I LOVE glass, and especially OLD glass, not for it's technical aspects but rather for the "little things" blowers USED to do that made life easier. In this case (300ml Erlenmyers), instead of a tooled lip in the modern sense, it has a lip that's rolled over by 90 degrees and about 1/8th inch wide. Anyone who has tried to carefully decant from a modern Erlenmyer knows, chances are that the liquid will lick under and travel on the outside of the glass (to the hand holding the thing!). You don't have that with these old flasks... perhaps 60s to 70s vintage. I'll grab "old" glass any time I see it - in this case, a shelf pack of 12! The downside of the old-school lips is that it's very delicate and easily chipped off. I'll live with that :)
