Make note of the depth! This case is huge!
I am not sure what 2-space rack piece of gear this case is intended for. Maybe a big amp or something. Most single space or 2 space components are just not as deep as this case. There's a lot of wasted space to the back side of the case. making it hard to get to connections and seeing the back side of the gear. It looks like SKB also makes a shallow version, and that would be more appropriate for most components. I wanted to put a pair of wireless mics in this case and it is so over-kill, I may have to return this case. I just don't see needing all of the extra room and the over-sized size dimensions.

Super Deep Case
Great case for the money. VERY VERY deep. In fact, FAR deeper than I was expecting and probably 6 inches deeper than is necessary for most rack gear...which is a bit of a negative for me because it makes the case rather large. However, the construction of the case is very good.

SKB shallow rack mount case
just the right depth for my ampeg SVT 7 pro bass amp. no wasted space. back of amp is right at the end of the rack. your power cord and speaker cable can be tucked and stored in the space created on either side of the amp after it has been mounted in the rack.
