Also new is the ability to light a "beacon fire," which serves as a recovery point when characters die as well as a meeting point for sharing experience.<br><br>Both cooperative and competitive multiplayer game types are supported, with the option for online users to leave behind messages and warnings to help other players.

    Satisfying Frustration

    Dark Souls is one of those one in a thousand games. It's one of the most challenging dark fantasy games I've ever had the pleasure of playing. It's controls, while a bit difficult to adjust to, are perfectly adequate and serve their purpose. The challenge, I feel like it's redundant to say how difficult this game can be, is learning how to act and react without consequence. This is a great game for anyone wanting a challenge, or just curious about the franchise. It's hard, but rewarding.

    Always coming back!

    Such a GREAT game! I always find myself coming back to play this. I’ve beat the game multiple times with different characters and different builds. It’s always fun coming back to this game. Death never eludes me and it always a bitter sweet feeling. 10/10 one of the best games ever created.
