About this product

Product Information

Get ready for a fun and crazy adventure as you play Super Bonk by Super Nintendo Entertainment System. Super Bonk is one of several titles in this video series about a crazy caveman, and Nintendo lovers simply refer to the main character as Bonk. This SNES game has you going on an all-out adventure searching for your nemesis, King Drool. This enemy is always making evil plans and cooking up trouble, so use all your skills to try to defeat him. Your journey takes you through the jungle and to the moon, and it even has you venturing through the inside of a dinosaur. You use your headbutting skills to ward of nasty enemies to try to survive through the various levels of difficulty. Super Bonk is a platform adventure game from Hudson Soft and RED Entertainment and is part of their series of console games that take place in a surreal prehistoric world, featuring the titular character of Bonk. The first three videos were initially developed by Hudson Soft for the TurboGrafx-16/CD, but the video series was transferred over to Super Nintendo for the remaining two games because the TG16 console was being discontinued. Bonk, the crazy caveman, first burst onto the gaming scene a little over two decades ago in 1994, and he’s been headbutting and fighting the biggest, most ferocious dinosaurs ever since. He’s a tough little guy who sends the dinos back to their Jurassic parks screaming in terror and flailing their too short arms desperately as they run away in defeat. Bonk is the hero who has been brought back to life on the SNES with its release of Super Bonk. It’s part of their virtual release of older titles from such gaming platforms as Nintendo 64 and the Nintendo Wii. This version of the game has since become a cult favorite among SNES gaming fans, and the game makers have injected enough new designs into this version to give it an updated look and feel. Super Bonk by SNES puts our hero on another exciting adventure after he is teleported through space and time by his arch enemy, King Drool. Bonk ends up traversing through modern Tokyo, a gigantic dinosaur’s innards, a fun fair, and all the way to the moon. As you continue playing the game, you can shrink and grow and turn into different creatures when you’re in "meat" mode. This power-up occurs after Bonk eats meat and allows him to become nearly indestructible if he eats more meat during this powered up stage. As you progress through the stages of this SNES game, you control Bonk and watch out for the enemies who are blocking your path. After eating meat, you can make even more powerful attacks on your enemies. There are many challenges ahead, and as you continue to play, you will discover many items, like candy, that change Bonk’s size and assist him while he’s performing climbing and spinning moves. This updated version of Super Bonk by SNES is a fun and enjoyable game that brings back memories of being a kid for many gamers.

  • Bonk's 16 bit Adventure

I played the original Bonk's Adventure on the NES as rental as a kid, but never own it. Prices for it today cost as much as an used car. However there is a sequel to it on the SNES that is reasonable cost wise. Welcome to Super Bonk. This game is as crazy as Earthworm Jim. Bonk transfers into different creatures to work in its environments. He still goes Popeye like nuts when he gets a power up. The graphics are much better than his previous games. If you like the older carts, then you will feel right at home*****
