I did hours of research on the various Canon cameras. My desire to maintain a back up camera (T4i) was part of why I went with the 6D MKii. My first week with the camera showed it has great build quality and it has all the features I need. Going to a full frame camera with 26.4mp really gives a better field of vision. So initially I must say I am impressed.
The age of digital photography is absolutely fantastic! My last camera was a 35mm Minolta, which I loved. But these mini computers, called cameras, are awesome. There are no good reasons for anyone not to take good pictures now. I checked that it is easy to use. As with any computer you must learn how to use it and then use it often to remember how to use it. But the rewards are mind boggling. No more wasted film. Now, you record your pictures on a small SD card and decide which ones you like and delete the rest. You have too much background in the photo, crop it. Granted, the current prices for equipment would have sent me into a buyers coma 40 years ago. But the ugly inflation monster never stops. Get yourself a camera people! You will never be sorry you took all those pictures of the kids, the pets, and that conversation piece of the dog's feces you took when the wife told you to go outside and take a picture of something just to get you out of her hair. I still get comments on that one. Enjoy!
