    L'll Abner DVD Great Fun ! Great Entertainment ! Perfect DVD !

    The L'll Abner DVD is exactly what I wanted. Entertaining thoroughly with great musical numbers. I have watched the whole movie. The DVD is as great an experience as when I saw the film in the movie theater many years ago (1959). I love it. Great music. Great color. Great comedic acting. I recommend it to lovers of classic comedy and satiric humor.

    Great movie at an excellent price.

    Definitely a great musical and the sets are fantastic! Unfortunately it's a rush job on the part of Paramount to get a product on the shelf. Nothing was done to correct the disjointed technicolor layers making many of the wide shots look blurred. The sound is good and the price was quite reasonable for this out of print masterpiece. A film definitely worthy of a complete blu-ray restoration. Let's hope soon. I'm 58 and not getting any younger! šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘

    A must-see old school musical

    This is a truly underrated old school musical. Some of the tunes -- in particular, the showstopping "Jubilation T Cornpone" -- are real footstompers with clever and catchy lyrics. The choreography in some of these numbers is unbelievable, and the cast did a magnificent job of bringing Al Capp's characters to life. One coult nitpick a few details, such as how Moonbeam McSwine wasn't depicted in her usual malodorous way, but that's all beside the point. The way they integrated so many aspects of Al Capp's mythology into this story was a testimony to the cleverness of the script and the musical productions.

    Fun to Watch

    Fun and funny musical with some good songs. The characters and story is true to the original comic strip and is a fun for any Dogpatch fan. Some of the jokes and gages are dated and may not have any meaning to younger (under 50) people, but that is a minor fault. The color seemed a little off at the beginning of my copy but looked OK for the rest of movie (may be a bad master film reel).

    Fun musical adaptation of its time, exploding with character!

    A classic from my childhood! I needed an upgrade from our old and worn out vhs copy. This dvd delivers! Great quality and a fun nostalgic watch. Well worth the money.
