    Easy to read, reliable, rugged product for the price !

    These are an excellent, reliable compass to have in your pocket when ever you venture into unfamiliar territory. I have had one for years and always carry it in the woods. While it is not designed for technical orienteering, it can get you out of the woods much more accurately than those cheap tiny ball compasses. I receive the NYS Forest Ranger weekly reviews, and the number of lost hikers that they have to rescue is shocking because all they carried into the woods was their cell phone. If you have a map of the region and this compass, you should be able to get yourself out of the woods. A map and this compass do not run on batteries !! This compass is cheap, reliable insurance to have when ever you venture into the woods. It's also great to have in your pocket when exploring foreign ...

    Silva compass

    A very economical way to find your way out of the jungle. Does what a compass should do, points north. No frills or gimmicks. Just points north and is fairly rugged. You can spend $500 on a compass, but why would you? This one works just fine
