Don't buy Aqueon products.
The electrical connection to the bulb failed in the first week of use. I had to replace the light unit with an old light one that I have used for 20 years. I can't see how the new one can be repaired. Also, the plastic used in this hood is of poor quality. I can't say how long it will be until it breaks under normal use. Given all the negative comments I have read about the Aqueon LED hoods, I would strongly advise against buying anything Aqueon makes.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
