Kala KA-15C A Pleasant Surprise
This is a good entry level ukulele. It appears well made, flawless in fact as far as workmanship goes. It is an all laminate mahogany instrument. So it will not require a humidifier, and will not be as effected by high and low heat and humidity, etc. It has a pleasant sound, and the intonation is good all the way up the neck. The only thing I see is that the action is a bit higher than I like up at the nut, but that is easily fixed. I think an eventual change of the Aquila strings would also benefit it's sound, but for now it's fine.

Excellent Value, Sweet Tone, Easy on the Fingers
This is not my first ukulele but I think it is my favorite. It has a very nice tone and is easy to strum or pick. It's easy on the fingers with just the right amount of action in the strings. I am also very pleased with the case and tuner. All in all, a good value not just for the beginner but for those with more experience as well.

Nice beginner ukulele
This is a nice beginner ukulele. Very well made and has a good sound to it. The fret board is dark wood instead of the light colored wood pictured in the sale. I don’t mind, I like it better. Case is nice and well padded. I purchased this mostly for display but have been enjoying actually learning how to play it so it hasn’t hung on the wall much.

Good deal for a Ukulele
I'm very happy with the Kala KA-15C Concert Ukulele, tuner & bag. A good value for the money. The uke has a very mellow tone once the strings stretched enough to stay in tune. I noticed that the top is laminated and not solid but it still has a pleasant sound. The bag is sturdy and should protect the uke well and the tuner will help you stay in tune.

Enjoying this new ukulele
Love the dark color of the wood. This is what mahogany should look like. Went to a music shop to check out the ukuleles. Priced higher. Only was the instrument and no tuner or bag. I am now learning to play and practice this ukulele because the library in my town has free lessons each week. Enjoying this experience very much. Enjoying my new ukulele too!

Good value and fun starter uke!
It's a nice little starter uke. It's actually much easier to play than I thought and we are really having fun with it. It does go out of tune rather easily, though... I found that just keeping the tuner attached lets you tweak easily as you are learning to tune by ear.
