Some passages have been running through my mind for years, and it was rime to read it again. Brilliantly written and translated. It's a "grim" book, (what else would you expect?! from the title and introductory pages, but you won't regret reading it. Personal note: in the late 1960's I worked at a facility near Cincinnati that manufactured such as these things 20 years earlier. I was part of the closure / decom team.
