Fantastic cable router, with up to 1GB speed capability.
I purchased this Arris SBV2402 for use with my Xfinity triple play service. I am provisioned for 400MB download, and a home phone on this cable modem. My speed has consistently exceeded the 400MB my line is rated at, and I it is really nice to know that if I were to decide I need faster downloads, this router can scale all the way up to 1GB service. Configuration was literally nothing more than turning it on, and then letting the install tech. call in to register it on the system. The phone was up and running in 5 minutes, and it took just a couple more to get my router to pull an IP address and bring my home network online. The two year factory warranty is an added bonus. Good modem
set up is not easy if you're dealing with Xfinity (which is the only reason I say it wasn't easy to set up) They did do things right on their end and I had HOURS invested in getting this right. It took 2 techs to come do the house to get it to work. Had they told me in the 1st place I needed to disconnect my landline so ir didn't conflict with VOIP, that would have been nice (along with other issues on their end) Once we got it workiing, it works greatVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great value to replace rental cost of xfinity modem/router once you get thru xfinity activation.
Product worked great after I finally got xfinity to activate. the online process failed several time, the phone support failed a couple times, but then the system decided to accept it and activate. Probably not a product problem at all. Works, not much else to be said
Simple review is that it just works. It took a few calls for comcast to get the phone side provisioned but when they were done the modem works just fine. I am not pushing the max internet speed but it handles 250Mbps just fine. An older Arris modem it replaced would always go right to its max speed (150Mbps for an older 4 channel version) so I would expect the same from this model.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Entry level modem.
The problems may have been more from Comcast rather than the modem but I'm not sure. This is an entry level modem. It took a long time to get Comcast to register this modem and that was probably their problem but it was with this modem.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
