    Everest

    I never get tired of watching this movie. I’ve watched it at least 50 times when I had internet and TV but now I just watch DVDs. I hadn’t seen it for about a year so I ordered it so I could continue watching it. Based on a true story and I find it very entertaining. It does have a sad ending although it is the truth of the plot of the movie.

    Integrity & great movie

    The movie follows the book "Into Thin Air" and it's excellent. One can say the same for this supplier. First disk received had a problem. We notified the supplier and without question a new DVD was on the way. 2nd DVD excellent - like new. We sure would recommend this supplier.

    Exciting true story

    The scenery was impressive, and the action stuck close to the actual events. I was familiar with the true story, so when each of the many characters was introduced by name, I immediately knew that person's fate. If you're unfamiliar with the 1996 Everest tragedy, researching it first will prove a spoiler. On the other hand, there are so many climbers and each is introduced so briefly that some of the emotional impact may be lessened if you go into it --- like the climbers themselves! --- COLD. No fictional characters were added, so no phony romances or murders, just the facts, which are dramatic enough. If you're not into mountaineering, you may shake your head over the seeming stupidity of people paying $70,000 to crawl around in the snow while coughing up blood. If you ...

    Horrific and heartbreaking, the exploitation and commercialism of climbing is brought out in this film. Rules to prevent this have been incorporated but it still happens as nature plays by its own set.
