I need this to survive!
I had to have a total gastrectomy, lost half my oesophagus and 2 metres of my small intestine because of a tumour growth that was in a piece of meat that decided to overtake my stomach. After all, they don’t test animals at the slaughter for cancer. So we are eating their infectious meat. Now that l have no stomach, unlike other TG patients l have no tolerance for solids now. I struggle even to eat a small banana unless it’s mushy. In fact everything must be puréed or in liquid and l no longer eat meat because it almost cost me my life. This product is a godsend, although my taste has changed which it does when your stomachless, l can tolerate the flavour and find this one to be the nicest and not sickly sweet flavour the others have. The only downside is l wish l could taste more coffee. It’s great it comes in high protein because l need it, to keep my muscles from deteriorating. I have to have 5 sachets a day at least. So you can imagine how frequently l need to buy. My sister on the other hand went on these and had no stomach issues. She has lost 45 kilos just be replacing her evening meal with a coffee protein shake. So if you’re buying for weight loss it does work but you can’t have one then eat junk food.
